The Ministry of Pastor Larry Lewis

About Pastor Lewis

The pastor of Potter's Church is Reverend Larry Lewis. He has held this position for over thirty years. Reverend Lewis has preached in crusade and on radio and television. He has also authored several books. Pastor Lewis is available for speaking or teaching engagements by writing to the address below, or by email (lllewis@shawneelink.net).

He was saved in 1967 and on May 26, 1981, Pastor Lewis received a vision of the seven year tribulation period. In it, he was taken by an angel of the Lord over the city of Jerusalem. He was privy to seeing many things concerning the message that is given in the book of Revelation. Pastor Lewis was then charged to preach what had been given to him. Over the years, God has given divine understanding and prophetic insight into the Book of Revelation.

With two other series, he has recently released a verse by verse in-depth study of the Book of Revelation. This seven tape series is available for purchase through the address found on these pages.

Visitation of the Angel and the Great Tribulation

Brother Larry Lewis had fasted one to two meals a day for nearly three months. It was in this environment on May 26, 1981, that an angel of the Lord took him into the Tribulation Period that the Bible teaches will come upon the earth subsequent to the Rapture of the Church. He was taken to various areas of the Earth and was shown many things. At the end of the three hour revelation, the angel began to leave, and Brother Lewis began to weep. He knew there was more the angel could reveal. The angel returned and took him by the back of the head. Swifty, the angel took him back into the vision and over the city of Jerusalem.

Originally standing about one hundred feet above the Mount of Olives, the angel took him about sixty feet above the temple area on Mount Moriah, then down to about fifty feet above Damascus Gate. Brother Lewis looked down at the place called Golgotha, the place of a skull. There were people all around and inside it, singing the song, "What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus."

As he put his face in his hands and began to weep, the angel which always stayed to his right spoke sharply and with a strong voice said "Look up. Look to your left." There standing about sixty feet above the garden tomb was the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. He told Pastor Lewis to preach this message and to baptize His people.

The Lord was wearing a white robe with a sash around his waist and sandals on his feet. He was about five foot nine or ten inches and weighed about one hundred sixty-five pounds. He had shoulder length brown hair and a long nose. Given this startling physical encounter, what touched Brother Lewis the most was that the Lord appeared younger than he did.
